Calgary is divided into four quadrants, northwest, northeast, southwest, and southeast. Calgary's southwest quadrant lies south of the Bow River and west of Macleod Trail all the way south past Highway 22X and Spruce Meadows, and is the largest quadrant in Calgary containing 80 communities as of December 2014.
Many of the Southwest Calgary communities are the highest selling areas and have recorded the highest priced homes in Calgary. With the vast sprawling land and breathtaking mountain and cityscape views, it is not surprising that both single professionals and families flock to the southwest in search of their next home.
